Diane Croghan joined the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center as Vice President of Community Engagement and Chief of Staff in 2021. Previosuly, she served as deputy chief of staff for Maryland Governor Larry Hogan for labor, housing, education, human services and health matters. In her role, she was responsible for oversight of nine departments: Aging; Disabilities; Education; Health; Housing and Community Development; Human Services; Juvenile Services; Labor; and Veterans Affairs; as well as Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System, Maryland Higher Education Commission, Maryland Insurance Administration, and University System of Maryland. Prior to joining the Hogan administration, Croghan served as chief of staff to Anne Arundel County Executive Steven R. Schuh. Croghan has held leadership positions in both the House of Delegates and the Senate of the Maryland General Assembly. Croghan is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
